Cycops Information Security Services has joined hands with the NALSAR University of Law to start CTRL-Z, a cyber-forensic laboratory at its Shamirpet campus here.
The cyber lab will help law enforcement authorities and judiciary in retrieving digital evidence from the devices in question, analyse the data and document the data thus retrieved.
“It will conduct long-term and short-term certificate courses in cyber laws and cyber forensic studies. Besides, it would conduct conferences and workshops for stakeholders,” a Cycops spokesperson said. “CTRL-Z will conduct annual hackathons for students to help them find solutions and improve their learning cycles in the field of cyber technologies,” Cycops Director said.
Further, it would conduct conferences and workshops for students, police and judicial officers, assist legalities of cyber technologies in collaboration with certifying authority of electronic components in different countries and also conduct annual hackathon for students. to inculcate competitive spirit and improve their learning cycles in the field of cyber technologies.
Prof. Mustafa said National Investigation Agency trainees would be the first batch to get training at CTRL-Z. Prof. Amita Dhanda suggested conducting more interactions with the faculty and students for enhancing institute and industry integration in the field of law and cyber technologies and improving the research scope dynamically.
Registrar of the university V. Balakista Reddy, senior faculty members K.V. Sarma and G. Mallikarjun were among those who participated. A team of trainees from the National Investigation Agency would be the first batch to get trained in the new laboratory.
